SMS Terms

CoverNow sends text messages for residential care agencies (your employer) to the staff they employ. These are work messages about shift coverage. They are not marketing.

You may receive:

• Confirmations when you report a call-off
• Open-shift offers you can accept or decline
• Confirmations when you are assigned a shift, or notices that it was already filled
• Relief check-ins when you are on shift and waiting for the next person
• Staffing alerts, if you are a supervisor
• Account messages, like setting or resetting your PIN

Every message names your agency, so you know who it is from.

Your employer gives us your mobile number during onboarding after you agree to receive shift-related texts. We record when and how you agreed. Your first message is a welcome text that explains the program and how to opt out.

You can also opt in, or opt back in, by texting START to your agency's CoverNow number.

Message frequency varies with your schedule and how many open shifts your agency has. It may be a few a week, or more during storms and holidays.

Message and data rates may apply, based on your mobile plan. CoverNow does not charge you for texts.

Opting out stops shift offers and confirmations by text. It doesn't change your employer's attendance or call-off policy. If you opt out, report call-offs the way your employer tells you to, for example by phone.

• Bright Path Residential Services uses CoverNow for call-offs and open shifts. You may get shift offers from this number. Reply YES or NO to offers. Msg freq varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.
• Got it, Tasha. Your 11 PM–7 AM shift at Maple House is called off. Feel better.
• Bright Path Residential Services: Open DSP shift at Maple House, Sat 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. Pickup differential $2.00/hr. Reply YES to accept or NO to decline.
• You're on: Maple House, Sat 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, 42 Maple Ave. Thank you!
• This shift has already been filled. Thank you.
• Is your relief at Maple House there yet? Reply HERE or NOT HERE.

We use your number only to run this program for your employer. We don't sell it, and we don't share mobile numbers or text opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and coverage. Texts are a convenience, not a guarantee. If a shift is urgent, your agency may also call you.

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
